About this list
Livetech uses specialist infrastructure and technology providers to help deliver website hosting and related Services.
Where such a provider processes Personal Data on behalf of Livetech in circumstances where Livetech itself is acting as Processor for a Client, that provider may be a sub-processor for data protection purposes.
Our use of sub-processors is governed by our Data Processing Addendum.

Our approach to sub-processors
Livetech seeks to use reputable providers appropriate to the Services being supplied.
Where required by Applicable Data Protection Law, we:
- undertake appropriate supplier due diligence;
- put appropriate contractual arrangements in place;
- require relevant providers to protect Personal Data;
- consider appropriate technical and organisational measures;
- use lawful mechanisms for restricted international transfers where required; and
- remain responsible for sub-processors’ applicable data protection obligations to the extent required by law.
Principal Sub-processors
| Provider | Services / purpose | Personal Data potentially processed |
|---|---|---|
| 20i Limited | Primary website hosting infrastructure, server resources, website storage, databases, backups, networking and related hosting services | Hosted website data, databases, IP addresses, server and security logs and associated technical data |
| Heart Internet | Hosting, domains, email and related infrastructure where Heart Internet services are used | Website and email data, contact information, domain information, IP addresses and technical logs |
| Microsoft | Microsoft 365 and related cloud services used for business email, documents, communications and support activities | Client correspondence, contact information, support information, documents and other information processed through Microsoft 365 |
| Zoho Corporation | Business applications, CRM, database, workflow and other Zoho cloud services used by Livetech or in Client solutions | Contact information, business records, support information and application data depending on the Zoho service being used |
| Google cloud and business services where used in connection with a Client service | Usage information, account information, website or application data and other information depending upon the specific Google service | |
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Cloud infrastructure, storage, application or other technical services where AWS is used for a particular Client service | Application data, hosted information, IP addresses, logs and other technical information depending upon the AWS service |
Service-specific providers
The table above identifies our principal technology providers.
Some websites and applications may also use additional providers for particular functions, for example payment processing, email delivery, security, content delivery, analytics, booking systems or specialist cloud applications.
Whether one of those providers acts as:
- Livetech’s sub-processor;
- the Client’s processor;
- an independent Data Controller; or
- another type of recipient
depends upon how the particular service has been selected, configured and used.
For example, a payment provider selected by a Client or an analytics account owned directly by a Client will not necessarily be a Livetech sub-processor simply because Livetech has technically integrated the service into the website.
Due diligence and contractual protection
Where required by data protection law, Livetech takes reasonable steps to ensure that relevant sub-processors provide appropriate safeguards for Personal Data.
This includes considering appropriate contractual data-protection arrangements, security measures and international-transfer arrangements where relevant.
Our principal infrastructure and cloud providers maintain their own data-processing terms and security programmes.
International processing
Some technology providers operate infrastructure in several countries.
Where the use of a provider involves a restricted international transfer of Personal Data, Livetech will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism or other safeguard where required by Applicable Data Protection Law.
Where the location of processing is important for a particular Client or system, Clients should contact us and we can provide information about the relevant service configuration.
Changes to our Sub-processors
Our Data Processing Addendum gives Livetech general authorisation to appoint appropriate sub-processors.
We may update this page as our technology or suppliers change.
Where we propose a material new sub-processor that will process Personal Data on behalf of our Clients, we will provide reasonable notice to affected Clients in accordance with our Data Processing Addendum.
A Client may raise a reasonable objection based on genuine data-protection concerns.
Not every supplier is a sub-processor
Livetech also deals with organisations such as banks, accountants, insurers, professional advisers, regulators, domain registries and other suppliers.
Those organisations are not automatically sub-processors.
Their role under data protection law depends upon what information they receive, why they receive it and who determines how that information is used.
Questions about your particular website or service
If you need to know which providers are involved in your particular Livetech service, please ask us.

Other service-specific providers
Some Client Services may use additional third-party providers, for example:
- content delivery networks;
- DNS providers;
- security platforms;
- domain registrars;
- cloud platforms;
- email-delivery services;
- website software providers;
- payment integrations;
- analytics platforms; and
- specialist SaaS systems.
Whether such a provider is a sub-processor, independent Controller or another type of recipient depends on the particular Service and how it is configured.
Where a material service-specific sub-processor is used for a Client’s Personal Data, Livetech may identify that provider in the relevant proposal, SOW, service documentation or an updated version of this list.
Changes to Sub-processors
The Client gives Livetech general authorisation to use sub-processors in accordance with the Data Processing Addendum.
Where Livetech intends to add or replace a material sub-processor involved in processing Personal Data on behalf of Clients, Livetech will provide reasonable notice to affected Clients.
Clients may raise a reasonable objection based on genuine data protection concerns.
Livetech will work with the Client to try to resolve such concerns.
Service Providers Who Are Not Necessarily Sub-processors
Not every third-party company used by Livetech is a sub-processor.
For example, a:
- bank;
- accountant;
- professional adviser;
- regulator;
- domain registry;
- payment provider; or
- third-party platform selected directly by the Client
may act as an independent Controller or in another capacity.
The legal role depends on what information is being processed and why.
