The Brief
Crimebeat was started in 1992 by the High Sheriff of Derbyshire and is now a national charity to help young people develop projects to make their communities a safer place.
Crimebeat helps establish safe and friendly communities across the UK and the organisation is dedicated to helping young people in particular facilitate this change.
Objectives

- Bilingual functionality.
- Colourful and engaging design.
Planning
We began the process by meeting with the client to discuss their requirements for the website. It was important for us to agree on an approach to take the project forward and for it to be successful.

Development
In addition to being cross-device compatible the site features various user levels, fully social media integration and submissions forms. Some of the content used in the making of this site was Linux, Apache, My SQL, PHP, HTML5, CSS, AJAX/JQuery.

Final Product
As a final product Crimebeat has a vibrant website that is clear in terms of presenting information, news and also have bilingual functionality for welsh speakers.

Design
The design specification was to create a professional, eye-catching website to provide clear information. The website was built on a content management system that is easily editable.

UX – User Experience
The user experience was kept simple with horizontal navigation and a minimal approach to the amount of pages used.
