A Guide To Watching the Llandudno Firework Display

Llandudno is famous for its breathtaking firework presentations along the North Wales Coast, and it’s that time again to prepare for another unforgettable show this year!

Last year, the Livetech team had a wonderful outing to witness the Llandudno firework display as a group. We believed it would be helpful to create this guide for you this year so that you can be ready before joining the thousands of people who come together to relish the finest display in North Wales.

Traditionally, Guy Fawkes Night is celebrated on November 5th, but Llandudno has made a unique tradition of holding its fireworks extravaganza in October. The reason? It’s all about the tides. The display is closely tied to the beach, and the timing depends on the tidal schedule.

When Is It?

Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 29th, at 5:30pm, when the skies over Llandudno’s North Shore beach will be set ablaze with dazzling fireworks.

* Please note: if the weather is adverse, the display will be rescheduled for Monday 30th October, at 5:45pm.*

Before you join the festivities, here are some essential details to keep in mind:

Parking

Llandudno is no stranger to parking challenges, and when hundreds of spectators flock to the event, it can become even trickier. To avoid the headache of parking tickets, we strongly recommend utilising one of the many car parks available in Llandudno. Here’s a handy list:

  • Parc Llandudno Car Park
  • Llandudno Station Car Park (APCOA)
  • Victoria Centre Car Park
  • Holy Trinity Pay & Display Car Park
  • Town Hall Car Park
  • Maelgwyn Road Car Park
  • York Road Car Park

There are numerous on-street parking options available throughout the town. If you’re having trouble finding a parking spot, you might find it more convenient to park in the Carig-y-Don area.

Road Closures

Please note that Promenade Road will be closed from noon until 9 pm on the event day to ensure the safety and efficient movement of the crowd. The closure will extend from the Venue Cymru roundabout to the Pier.
