After the success of last year’s Santa Sleigh VR experience, it made another appearance this year. We’ve had plenty of people enchanted by the VR experience again in the last few days. We’ve raised a staggering £404 for St Kentigern Hospice in St Asaph.
The sleigh ride lasts roughly three minutes. Starting in a snow-covered Lapland village, before taking the virtual plunge into the air, whizzing along a mountain route, spiraling through tunnels, over trains, and under cliff edges. All of this without leaving the safety of your sleigh!
VR is the next big step in modern tech. Suitable for all ages, which makes it ideal family fun.
How it Works:
Virtual Reality requires real-world assistance – this comes in the form of not only the Elves (provided by the Llandudno Xmas Fayre) but the Oculus Rift headset; a unique design which contains two independent screens, and it is hooked up to a special gaming PC with a cutting-edge graphics card to match the dedication put into creating the 3D experience.
We are looking forward to seeing what technology delights Chrismas 2019 has to offer.
